Unit 1: Understand specific learning difficulties

In this unit, your employees will learn about the range and characteristics of specific learning difficulties, as well as the nature of them.

Unit 2: Understand the effects of specific learning difficulties

Within this unit, your employees will discover the effects of specific learning difficulties, as well as the strengths and barriers faced by individuals with them.

Unit 3: Understand the diagnosis of specific learning difficulties

In this unit, your employees will learn about the importance of seeking a formal diagnosis of specific learning difficulties and the process of diagnosing specific learning difficulties.

Unit 4: Understanding supporting individuals with specific learning difficulties

This unit will inform your employees of how support for individuals with specific learning difficulties can be provided in different settings and how individualised support is provided.

Unit 5: Understand the context of specific learning difficulties

In this unit, your employees will learn about how attitudes, legislation and services related to specific learning difficulties have changed over time. They will also learn to understand legislation in relation to specific learning difficulties.
