Level 2 Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship
Course Overview
The Level 2 Accounting Apprenticeship for an Accounts/Finance Assistant covers a role which is an integral part of the team responsible for maintaining an efficient and accurate finance function within a business. The Accounts/Finance Assistant is an integral role and is responsible for assisting the team of accountants with junior accounting duties. These can vary massively depending on the team structure and the size of the business.
An accounts/finance assistant is responsible for basic bookkeeping activities, working with sales and purchase ledgers, running calculations to ensure that records and payments are correct, recording of cash and data entry. Accounts/Finance Assistants can work in almost any sector.
Throughout the learning journey of this Level 2 Finance Apprenticeship, Apprentices will learn and practice how to embrace change and add value to a team and business. They will also hone the key skill of how to produce high quality and accurate information.
We offer individualised learning to each Apprentice and heavily involve the employer with all curriculum scoping to ensure progress is meaningful. Prior attainment is carefully considered from the starting point to ensure that time on programme is maximised and career progression is mapped into their journey through strong IAG (Information, Advice and Guidance).
In addition, the curriculum scoping exercise provides an opportunity to review prior learning and completed qualifications, with the aim of personalising Apprenticeships to support and enhance your business, and therefore your Apprentices’ progress and progression.
